Project Description

As part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure, improve road networks, and provide a better quality of life for its citizens, this project focuses on delivering consultancy services for the technical and engineering supervision of road projects in Dammam, Khobar and Dhahran from 2023 to 2025.

The scope of this project includes the provision of all necessary services, personnel, materials, and resources required to execute and complete the works outlined in the contract documents. The consultant will ensure the successful delivery of all aspects of the project, including addressing temporary, additional, supplementary, and modified services as requested by the municipality, in full alignment with the contract terms and conditions.

This initiative reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to modernizing its infrastructure and creating safer, more efficient road systems that support economic growth and enhance the daily lives of its citizens.

Scope of Work

The consultant’s responsibilities, as a guideline, encompass the following key tasks:

  • Monitoring Work Execution: Overseeing the execution of all works to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Supervising Contractor Activities: Ensuring that the contractor’s work is carried out in compliance with the approved technical specifications and contractual requirements.
  • Survey Work Review and Audit: Reviewing and auditing all survey work to confirm accuracy, compliance with design requirements, and proper implementation.
  • Field Test Oversight: Supervising field testing to verify that all materials and construction practices comply with established specifications and quality standards.
  • Quantities Review and Approval: Assessing, verifying, and approving the quantities of work items to ensure accurate measurement and proper documentation.
  • Payment Certification Audit: Auditing the monthly payment certificates submitted by contractors, approving them for correctness, and submitting them to the supervising administration for final approval.
  • Progress and Schedule Monitoring: Tracking project progress, ensuring work is completed according to the approved schedule, and regularly assessing the percentage of completion to ensure timely delivery of the project.

These tasks aim to ensure that the project is executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, in alignment with both local regulations and international best practices.

The total length of humanized & urbanized streets is 6 km, with an area of 180,000 m².
